A Country Poem

By: Ashley Telford

As I say good night to Old Big John,

“ Good Night.”

And to Dear Little John,

“Good Night as well.”

I remember Freckles,

“Good Night, forever, my dear.”

I will be by your side when you need me,

I will be by your side when you are alone,

I will be by your side when you are gone,

I will be by your  side forever.
